Xander Jugant Green, age 21, husband, best friend, son, brother, and Fortnerd, unexpectedly passed away on December 9, 2024. Xander was born on February 6, 2003, to Richard and Whitney Green in Sandy, Utah and was raised in Draper, Utah, alongside his beloved sisters, Hillary and Calais. Xander’s family was his ultimate starting lineup. His sisters were not just siblings but teammates in every sense—sharing laughs, love, and a bond that runs eternally deep.

Xander's formative years were spent surrounded by family, friends, and his community in Draper. He attended Willow Springs Elementary, Draper Park Middle School, and Corner Canyon High School (Class of 2021). During his time at CCHS, Xander was actively involved in the Special Needs Peer Tutoring program, illustrating his kind and compassionate spirit.

In addition to his studies, Xander loved sports, particularly cheering for the Utah Jazz and BYU Football. He spent countless hours playing basketball, pickleball, gaming with his friends, and creating memories filled with laughter and joy. Now he has courtside seats in heaven and is probably schooling angels in pickup.

Xander’s Fortnerd friends: Jona, Taylor, Evan, and Chase were his everything; forming a brotherhood that stood the test of time. From epic neighborhood basketball games to late-night gaming marathons filled with laughter, these friendships were the foundation of some of his happiest memories. They were his chosen family. They always showed up when it mattered most. His friends weren’t just a part of his life—they were a part of his soul, shaping who he was and making life’s adventures unforgettable. Ellie was also a great friend whom he loved and cared for.

Following high school graduation, Xander served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Italy Milan Mission, where he shared his deep faith in Jesus Christ and love for others. Upon returning home, he began pursuing a degree in psychology at the University of Utah, driven by his passion for understanding and helping people around him.

On October 27, 2023, Xander married his best friend and the love of his life, Kiersten (Kiki) Howard, in a beautiful ceremony in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The two first met on a blind date to Xander’s senior prom, and their love story blossomed from there. They were living their best chapter yet. Xander deeply adored Kiki, cherished their time together and loved her fully, fiercely, and without apology.

Xander will be remembered for his infectious energy, unwavering loyalty, vibrant personality, genuine kindness, and the joy he brought to those who knew him. Xander changed lives. Xander wasn’t just living—he was winning. His passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to shine in the lives he has touched.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, John A. Green; uncles, Jeffrey Paul Green and Evan Curtis Green; cousin, Emmett Jay Bleyle; Craig Young; and uncle-in-law, Steven G. Parker.

Xander is survived by his wife, Kiersten (Kiki) Green; parents, Whitney and Richard Green; sisters, Hillary and Calais; the Fortnerds and friends: Taylor Inkley, Evan Rasmussen, Jona Sorrel, Chase Christensen, and Ellie Garrett; parents-in-law, Alen and Marilyn Howard; sisters-in-law, Haley, Emma, and Rebekah Howard; grandparents, Joye Roundy, Michele Green, Ted and Elaine Feinauer; grandparents-in-law, Gregory and Jeanene Parker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 498 E. Hollow Creek, Draper, UT, 84020, with graveside dedication to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. A viewing will be held preceding the service from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Bring with you the spirit that Xander always brought to us.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Xander’s honor to Special Olympics Utah
