Elizabeth Anne Price

1984 ~ 2020

***There’s one more angel in heaven, there’s one more star in the sky ***

Elizabeth Anne Price, 36, passed away at home in Salt Lake City on Thursday, May 14, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Diagnosed just over 3 weeks ago with metastatic cancer, her already tired body wore out quickly.

Elizabeth was born March 19, 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts to Raymond Richard Price and Anne ZoBell Price. As a young healthy girl, she loved feeding the ducks, playing at the park, ice-skating, reading, and playing with her siblings.

At the age of 6 years, Elizabeth had a severe case of encephalitis that impacted her health the rest of her life. Elizabeth’s family would like to thank the many wonderful people who enriched and supported Elizabeth on her earthly journey including extended family, friends, medical personnel, and special needs teachers.

Spending time with family was one of Elizabeth’s favorite activities: tubing at Lake Powell, playing UNO, or watching a Daniel Boone or Little House on the Prairie movie. Elizabeth loved making treats, telling stories, doing scripture charades, giving advice, helping people, riding horses, attending Camp Kostopulos for over 20 years, enjoying institute, cheering on “Utah” basketball, dancing, twirling in sparkly dresses, swimming, and singing. Elizabeth’s bright red “Wish Teddy Bear” accompanied her EVERYWHERE.

Elizabeth loved telling everyone she was the Queen of the House as the oldest of 9 siblings: Rachel, Rebekah, Jonathan, Matthew (Alex), Michelle (Pablo), Sarah (Brandon), Christina, and Stephanie. Always loving babies, Elizabeth adored her nieces and nephews: Mason, Georgia, Katarina, Jordan, and Zoey.

Her parents, 7 siblings, and grandparents--Richard & Lynn Price and Dean ZoBell, survive Elizabeth. Elizabeth’s little brother Jonathan and Grandma Elizabeth Jane ZoBell greeted her in heaven along with her Savior.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held as a small service due to Covid19 restrictions. Please join us online at 11 am Thursday, May 21 for the service. Visit Elizabeth’s obituary at www.larkincares.com for login information. Burial at the Salt Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made “In memory of Elizabeth Price” to Camp Kostopulos http://www.campk.org/donations/

How I grew to love Elizabeth. For eight years she was my student at East High. Elizabeth came to my class at the age of 14 and left after she turned 22. During those eight years Elizabeth delighted me with stories about Jesus, being a princess, and her longing to be a mother. If she heard a siren she would jump up and run to the window. She was kind and gentle and always remembered her classmates and my birthdays. She was also fiery and could get so angry with me. She once told me, “You’re too mean to be a grandma!” I recall some of our struggles as I worked to teach Elizabeth boundaries and acceptable behavior. But in the midst of our struggles there was always a beautiful woman inside Elizabeth that yearned to be seen. I can honestly say I was able to see glimpses of the wonderful beautiful woman Elizabeth truly was amidst some of her time with me and I will always feel proud and humbled that I got to be a part of her journey. I am deeply saddened by her passing. I will always remember her fondly and all her quirky sayings like “Don’t you think that’s right?” I know she is now free of her earthly body that made Elizabeth’s like here a challenge. I know she is a beautiful loving spirit now and will always watch over her loving family.

I would like to express my love and gratitude to Ray and Anne for their support during Elizabeth’s time with me and to her siblings that I got to know and love as they served as peer tutors in my classroom. I send you my love during this hard time. I hope the memories you all share of Elizabeth will bring you some peace in the time ahead.

Dear Ray & Ann,
It’s been sometime since we have spoken, but our hearts go out to you in the loss of your daughter. Losing those you love is difficult, but we have felt comforted by the knowledge of the atonement of Christ. We pray for your comfort and this blessing by the spirit.
Sincerely,
Ken & Ellen Jones

We had the privilege of being teachers in an Institute class with Elizabeth. She could always make us smile and often made us laugh. Rose would often sit next to her and enjoyed listening to her earnest and excited comments, interspersed with, "Is that good?" or "Don't you think?" Our favorite interjection was "High five!" We were impressed by her faith and her memory for scripture stories. We could always count on her to remind the rest of the class what happened in different scripture stories. She was the only member of our class who came to our wedding. We so appreciated her coming and taking photos with us. We are happy for her because we know she is whole and free from all the limitations of her earthly body.

I have a vivid picture in my head of Elizabeth as a young girl following behind her beautiful mother and leading her sisters, all in their Sunday best. She looked like an angel. I am so sorry for your families loss and grateful the Elizabeth had such strength and fierce love surrounding her through the battles she fought. I also came across her grandmother Jane's obituary when searching for Elizabeth. How fitting that your first daughter also carried her sweet grandmother's first name. Sending love to your family.

How I loved your Elizabeth - what a treasure she is! I got to be with Elizebeth when we were young at Grandma Prices and then we reunited at Hillside Jr. High and at Highland High School. She would always smile and hug me in the halls and was someone I so looked forward to seeing. I also loved having her come to our ward when she was visiting and felt connected to her as I was updated through Lynn over the years. She holds a special place in my heart and always always will! All my love and prayers to her dear family. McCall Knowlton Nelson

One thing I will always remember and love about Elizabeth is her enthusiasm in telling me stories during family parties, and her frequent high fives. We love Elizabeth, and miss her deeply. We look forward to being with her again some day, and are praying her family can feel comfort and peace.
