Dylan Douglas Erickson

1984 ~ 2018

On January 1, 2018 our beloved Dylan passed away unexpectedly at home.

Dylan Douglas Erickson was born April 25, 1984 to Douglas and Kimberly Erickson. Dylan was the oldest of 3 boys and he took pride in his role as the big brother. As Dylan got older, he developed a strong passion for football and played for Alta High School until he graduated in 2002. Dylan loved the Pittsburgh Stealers, date night with his wife, making his friends laugh, spending quality time with his family, and those he considered family and he loved being a Dad.

It was impossible not to immediately fall in love with Dylan's laugh, sense of humor, and laid back personality. He made friends everywhere he went and always seemed to know someone, no matter the place.

Dylan was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He hated seeing someone he cares about struggle, and always stepped in to help where he could. Dylan was extremely loyal and was the best person to have in your corner.

Dylan met Sade, the love of his life while at work in 2008. They welcomed their first child, Breanna in August of 2010 and their son, Kayden in February 2014. They were married in front of close friends and family in March 2016.

Words cannot begin to describe the sorrow we feel having to say goodbye to someone we loved so deeply- too soon. Dylan was a light in our lives and the emptiness his loss has left us with will never be filled again.

We love you, Dylan. We will miss you from the bottom of our hearts until we meet again.

Dylan is survived by his wife Sade, daughter Breanna (7), son Kayden (3), father Douglas, mother Kimberly, brother Brady, sister-in-law Cassie, nephew Dean (4) and brother Walker.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Ward, 4561 Buckboard Street, Eagle Mountain. A visitation will be held prior to funeral services from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Graveside services will be held later that afternoon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Sandy, UT 84092 at 2:30 pm.
