Gregory Lee Sandquist, 56, was born March 16, 1957, to Douglas and June Sandquist in Salt Lake City, UT, and passed away on August 2, 2013, due to complications of PNH. Greg married the love of his life Gayle Ann Curry on August 9, 1980, in Sandy, UT. They are the proud parents of two children Britney (Ryan) Larkin and Kyle Sandquist; and four grandchildren, Raynee Kay, Bailee Ann, and River Ryan Larkin; and Kayden Daniel Nelson.
Greg loved to fish, camp, and travel. He has always been actively involved with coaching his kids (gymnastics/baseball) and supporting his grandchildren, nieces and nephews in all their activities. He loved sporting events, the theater, music, dance competitions, Lagoon, the zoo and aquarium. He even sky dived in his younger days. He was the best Grandpa in the world with a great sense of humor. Greg was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Greg is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren; his mother June Leming; brothers Doug Sandquist, Keith Sandquist (Susan Shola), and Steve (Traci) Sandquist; his father and mother-in-law Lynn and LaRena Curry; his brothers and sisters-in-law Donna Leavitt (Steve Pazell), Ken (Tracie) Curry, Rachel Curry (Benita), and Karen (Jason) Kidd; along with a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, and cat Thomas. Greg was preceded in death by his Papa Robert and Grandma Lillian Langton; Grandma Reva Trone; stepfather Lorin Leming; and sister-in-law Debra Kay Curry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. Viewings will be on Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. and also on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both held at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
