The giving, loving, earthly life of Lynda Louise Pugh Lakin ended in the early hours of Tuesday, April 22nd. After a long and difficult illness, Lyndais reunited with her father, Gerald Roach Pugh and her mother, Ellen CarsonPugh.
A graduate of East High School, Lynda married Steve Lakin on August 26, 1972. Although she suffered many physical challenges during her 66 years on earthLynda loved everyone and loved life. She never lost her supportive and irrepressiblespirit.
Lynda was an accomplished artist—whose afghans, paintings and manyother wonderful pieces will always bring happiness to her large family and manyfriends.
Lynda is survived by her husband and sons Gavin Robert Lakin andJonathan Alexander Lakin, by sister Judith and husband Ted R. Capener,sister Susan Grant and partner Sandy Dreis, brother David Gerald Pugh and wife Dianna, brother Douglas Carson Pugh, sister Kathleen Walker and husbandRichard. Lynda is also being met on the other side by her sister Margaret Ellen Pugh and by nephews Patrick Grant and Adam Sloane.
Special thanks to all who cared for Lynda during the last four very difficult months: to all family members who gave unfailing support. Megan Pugh, a niece, wasever present as was Sandy Dreis. Thanks also to the many nurses and others atSt. JosephVilla\s rehab center whogave such loving care to Lynda.
A celebration of Lynda\s life will beheld Monday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where a viewing will be held from 10 ‚ 11 a.m.
