Alexander Nic Ford died on January 8, 2026 at the age of 26 at his parent’s home in Sandy Utah.
Alexander is survived by his Father, Bradley Scott Ford, Mother, Julie Ford, Brother, Parker Scott Ford, (Emily).
Alexander grew up in Sandy Utah and graduated from Summit Academy in 2017. He worked a variety of jobs including working at a Care Center running the Activities and as a manager of a Spa before he decided to work towards becoming a licensed Locksmith.
Alexander enjoyed life and making fun memories. He played soccer, softball, and flag football playing on organized teams. He also loved to shoot baskets at the hoop in the driveway with his dad, brother, cousins and friends. His Dad and He often loved to play tennis and play catch together. He loved watching the NFL especially when the Dallas Cowboys were playing.
Alexander enjoyed writing and reading poetry. He was a talented writer. He had a number of favorite authors like Ruth Ware and John Green. He liked art, drawing and coloring and loved visiting art galleries whenever he went some place new. Music was also a big part of his daily activities. He played the guitar, acoustic and electric and was starting to learn to play the piano and keyboard. He was a big Taylor Swift fan and enjoyed the experience of his lifetime attending her signature ERA concert in Nashville, Tennessee. Alexander also loved to write songs.
Alexander was always a pet lover and as a teen wanted to become a veterinarian. His first pet was a hamster, more hamsters, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, and a chinchilla. He also loved a number of dogs starting with Tootsie, Tilly, Boston, and his best bud Bubba whom he rescued from a care center where he was working at the time. She was an escape artist and was going to be sent back to the shelter.
Alexander loved spending time with family. He was fortunate to enjoy his Grandmother Croft who lived with them for eight years until right after she turned 100 years of age. The had a special bond and he loved and has missed her these last years.
Spending time up at the family cabin was one of his favorite weekend and holiday get-a-ways along with the house in St George. Playing pool, family games, riding the motorcycle, the snow mobile, sleigh rides and enjoying the swimming pool filled hours of fun for him.
Travel was something he would get so excited about. The family enjoy many trips together to Jackson Lake, Wyoming, Oceanside and San Diego, California, Park City an Alaskan Cruise, and all-time favorite family trip to Maui, Hawaii. His dream place to visit was England and Oxford University. He had many places he wanted to explore with his friends and family.
Alexander took great pride in always looking his best. He learned that from his family and particularly his beloved Grandmother Croft. He felt that it was important to put your best self out there wherever he was going. He loved having a good time with friends and family and was always up for the next adventure. He never wanted to be left behind because he was younger or smaller. He wanted to be right in the mix of it all.
Alexander and his zest for life will be greatly missed. We know he is starting a new adventure where he is now and we are excited for him as he begins his new journey. We will always love our little Cricket as he was called by the NIC Unit nurses! Our family and others were blessed to have him in their lives!
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Encircle be made.
