  • Angelo Carlos Martinez, beloved son, brother, cousin, and friend passed away on November 14, 2020 in Salt Lake City. He was born on May 10, 2002 to Linda Martinez in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Angelo will always be remembered for his smile, always smiling and full of love. He was always joking around and loved everyone. He enjoyed family time and it was obvious he was never too old to do all the holiday and family activities with his mom and sisters.
Angelo loved graffiti art, sketching, jumping on the trampoline with his little cousins and his sisters. He and his sisters enjoyed playing basketball together. There was not a day that went by that he did not play his music loud. He loved his hot Cheetos and his mommas cooking.

Angelo was selfless and wanted to make sure his family was good. He adored his mom and worked hard to make sure she was always taken care of. He was a best friend not only to his mom, sisters and family but also to many others. He will truly be missed, and he will always be in our hearts forever and always LLA.

He is survived by his mom; Linda, his sisters; Marivel, Aleaha, and Emily, his aunts; Eva and Jessica, uncles Patrick and Fabian, his nana Rosellen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 6:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple). A viewing will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 9-10:30 am at Larkin Mortuary and services will follow at 11 am. Masks and social distancing per Utah governor’s mandate is required to enter the building.

Following the services, interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

I worked with Angelo at Horizonte. He spent a lot of time together setting goals and working towards graduation. He was a bright light in this world and shared love with everyone he met. This world is a darker place without him, but I'm grateful I was able to know him and have him influence my life for the better!

I had the privilege of being one of Angelo’s math teachers at Horizonte three years ago. I had great compassion for him. I know he loved his family and worked hard to make them proud. Rest In Peace, Angelo. My heart breaks for his family and friends. I pray God will send his angels, love, and peace to you at this tender time. Xo
