1943 ~ 2026
Ann Adams Strong, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2026, at her home in Park City Utah surrounded by her family and loving friends. Ann was born on April 15, 1943, in Salt Lake City Utah to Loyle and Margaret Adams. Her two brothers, Neil and Jack were much older and doted on her daily. She was their beautiful blue-eyed baby girl and the light of all their lives. Ann married Richard Strong on June 15th, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann and Richard were born in the same hospital just 8 hours apart and realized they had never lived more than a mile away from each other. They celebrated their honeymoon by driving across the country to make a new home in Boston while Richard attended Harvard Law School. They decided to settle in Los Angeles and had 3 kids together, and later they retired to Park City, Utah. Ann and Richard celebrated 60 years of marriage last year and were holding hands until Ann’s last breath.
Ann was a nurturer, teacher, organizer, homemaker, and hostess extraordinaire. Her home in Los Angeles, was known to have at least 1 party a week. She enjoyed dancing, hiking, camping, skiing, gardening, and lake days with her family. She had a green thumb and always said she would just talk to the plants to help them grow and bloom. Ann’s plants and flowers always bloomed fully and lived much longer than expected. She made the best snickerdoodles and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and had a significant sweet tooth. But what made her happiest and most fulfilled was celebrating all the trials and tribulations of life with her family and many friends.
Ann is survived by her husband Richard Strong, her sons Matt Strong (Chelsea) and Brad Strong, her daughter Amy Martin (Chris), and her 5 grandchildren; Derek, Nathalie, Will, Isabella, and Tyler, along with many loving friends and neighbors who will all carry her light with them.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 24th, 2026, at 2pm at The Park Meadows Country Club in Park City, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The UCLA Center for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a place Ann helped to build. https://giving.ucla.edu/campaign/donate.aspx?Fund=63080C&AutoFN=Y
We are so sorry to hear of your mom passing. Todd remembers her fondly growing up.
Sending love
Dear Strong family, Bruce and I are so saddened to hear of Annie’s passing. She was without doubt one of the nicest and most welcoming people we’ve ever had the pleasure to call family.
We are so impressed by the loving way your family circled the wagons in her last days, a real testament to Annie’s greatest creation. We surround you with love and support, even from far away. Elodie keene and Bruce Fortune
Dearest Rick,
You will not know who I am, but I remember meeting Ann at Grandma Ida’s home when you were engaged. I thought she was so lovely. I am truly so sorry.
My dear friend of 51 years was uniquely warm and wonderful. We shared so many joyful lunches and movie dates and conversations about our children and our lives. I will always cherish our years of friendship and her beautiful smile and laugh.
Thinking of the Strong family with sympathy and love.
Snickerdoodles, chocolate chip cookies and love for her friends & family!! Doesn’t get any better than that! Your mom sounds like she was such a wonderful human being! So sorry for your loss Amy and family.
