  • Words cannot describe the pain this void will leave us…

Ashley was born December 28, 1992 and our worlds were shattered when our beautiful girl was taken tragically in a car accident, August 22, 2021. Ashley was 28 years young. To say she was passionate, is an understatement, especially when it came to matters of family and friends. She loved being a sister, and auntie but most of all loved being a mom and found an amazing partner in Cody her husband; with whom she built an amazing little family. Cody and Ashley celebrated their second wedding anniversary August 17th and she could not have been happier. Ashley was so excited to bring her latest baby girl into the world a month prior to her passing and was fiercely proud of her kids, which was evidenced by a brief stroll through her Facebook page. She found her true calling as a mom and found true joy in that.

Although Ashley’s self-appraisal was often diminished and she never thought of herself as being quite enough, she was always willing to give others the benefit of the doubt. Her spirit shined through in how she made you feel. She tried to see the good in others and tried to find the good in a bad situation. She loved family and friends fiercely and cherished any time she could spend with them. Ashley greatly underestimated her value and the joy she brought to all of us, especially the little ones.

Ashley loved the mountains, especially camping and fishing with her family, visits with her mom, any amount of time she could spend with her sister & any of her nephews or nieces and loved spending time gaming with Cody & Bentley. She loved the Utes and the Minnesota Vikings and was always sure to send updates to her dad even when he had lost faith in the team.

Ashley had several employers and a string of friends from all of them. She enjoyed working with people and naturally gravitated to positions in customer service. She was most recently employed as a Customer Care Associate at Daily Harvest.

Ashley leaves behind her husband Cody, son Bentley, daughters Della & Elyse, mother Lori (Hopes) Anderson and step dad Sean, father Rod Markland and step mom Jamie, mother & father-in-law Edie and Mike Forsberg, father-in-law Fred Robinson, mother-in-law Joyce Eckman, her sweet soul sister Jessica Manning (Terry), step brothers and sisters Trisha Anderson (Jonny), Todd Kelly (Emilee), Zack Anderson (Brittnie), Aubrey Anderson and Kennedy Anderson and brother and sisters-in-law, Aydyn Forsberg and Casssidy & Savannah Robinson. Other family left behind include her grandparents Joan and Dan Tate, Stan and Jan Markland and Larry Hopes; aunts Pat, Chris & Kim, and uncle Adam. Our wonderfully mixed up, extended families included so many other special aunts and uncles and too many nephews, nieces and cousins to mention along with many other friends and family. Last but certainly not least, her cat Sebastian.

Shine On Ashley, your tribe will never be the same without you.

A viewing for those that wish to pay respects or say goodbye will be held on Thursday, September 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and a Celebration of Life and a light lunch Friday, September 3rd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Both will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84092.

Our family would like to express a deep gratitude to those who have publicly and privately supported the GoFundMe account, in support of Cody and the kids as they navigate the uncertain times ahead.

My heart broke when I heard about Ashley. She was such an amazing person. I worked with her at Tim Dahle. She was such a loving, beautifully and genuine person. I feel truly blessed to have known her. I am truly sorry she was taken soon young.
