Listen to Obituary

Beverley Lea Bohling, age 79, passed away in West Jordan, Utah on September 14, 2025. She was born on May 29, 1946, in Newcastle, Wyoming, to Willard Lee Ellis and Carol Merian Fawcett.

Bev’s life was filled with love, family, and creativity. She first married Louis Allen, with whom she had three children: Eric Allen, Karen Woodd, and the late Cole Allen. She later married Harold Allen, with whom she was sealed in the LDS temple, and gained a stepson, Jeff Allen. Bev also embraced family connections from her other marriages, including Janice Kimball and her family, the daughter of Richard Ray.

She married five times throughout her life, forming lasting friendships with family members she met along the way. She was preceded in death by her husbands Harold Allen and Robert “Bobby” Bohling, as well as by her son Cole, parents, and her sister, Aneta Campbell. She is survived by her children, Eric Allen and Karen Woodd, along with many extended family and friends.

Bev found joy in creativity and self-expression. She was an accomplished seamstress, keeping a dedicated sewing and craft room in her home. She loved to sew baby blankets for her children, grandchildren, and friends, often making gifts for those she met through church. At one point, she owned at least nine sewing machines. Later in life, Bev also took up landscape painting and home projects, never hesitating to try something new, whether it was moving a wall, decorating a space, or learning a new skill.

She worked as an office manager for Robins Brokerage Co. before retiring as a lunchroom manager at Draper Elementary, where she made many lasting friendships. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bev valued her faith and the connections it brought into her life.

Above all, Bev loved her family and cherished time with them. She shared a special lifelong bond with her best friend of 32 years, Kay Kenyon.

Bev will be remembered for her creativity, resilience, and generosity of spirit.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
