Beverly Ann Miller

(Walker, Hyte, Meade)

May 13, 1940 – January 30, 2025

Beverly passed away very early on the morning of Thursday, January 30, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Our loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother left this mortal life comfortably and peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 84 at the Beehive Home in Salem, Utah.

Bev was born May 13, 1940 in Tolleson, Arizona. She was one of 10 children born to Everett Hudson Miller and Adelle Frankie Smith.

Bev had five children: Tammy (Rick) Brereton, Sandra (Lanny) Sorensen, Fred (Nancy) Walker, Michelle (Gary) Dastrup, and David Brian Walker.

Throughout her life, Bev was always a fun-loving, hardworking, caring and giving person. She spent her life taking care of and providing for others. Bev was a great example of being kind toward everyone, regardless of any difference of opinion or belief. Being a strong and determined woman, Bev never lost sight of her goal to earn a college degree. She attended classes and studied after working long days and did indeed earn her degree at the age of 60.

Bev is survived by husband Phillip Meade; children Tammy, Fred (Nancy), Michelle (Gary), Shelli Meade, brothers Everett Jr., Joe, and Mike; and sisters Marie, Jody, Jennie and JoAnn. She had 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, son David Brian Walker, daughter Sandra Sorensen, son-in-law Rick Brereton, sister Sadie Young, brothers Landon and Eli; granddaughter Ashley Kay Mitchell; great-grandson Cameron Andrew Marshall; and husbands Fred Walker and Larry Hyte.

A special thank you to the Salem Beehive Home and their staff for the special care they provided to Bev over the past 2 ½ years. Bev’s family extends a special thank you to Sherree Reynolds for the outstanding Hospice care that she provided.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Bev’s honor on May 17, 2025, at the home of Tammy Brereton in Spanish Fork, Utah.
