Bicknell Allen Robbins

1932 ~ 2022

No longer able to hit the greens in regulation and forfeiting his nom de plum "Meanest Junkyard Dog", Bicknell Allen Robbins, our generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully at his California home surrounded by family and friends on May 3rd, 2022.

Born October 23, 1932 to Calvin Bicknell Robbins and Ruby Allen, he excelled in academics, sports, and business. He was a track and football star at East High School. He graduated from the University of Utah where he played for the WAC champion Ute football team and excelled as one of the nation's premier Nordic Combined and Alpine skiers. His successful business career began as an executive in the family restaurant business, Keeley's, and then included being the youngest vice president in Marriott Corporation's history to entrepreneurship to consulting and finally as manager and partner for Salt Lake City's ExpoMart/Royalwood Office Plaza. He loved playing golf and handball with his friends, visiting with family, and spending time at his hand built cabin in the Uinta mountains. While he can no longer say, "Let me tell you something!" his family and friends will forever remember his laugh, his generosity, his counsel, and the life he spent with us. He was preceded in death by his parents, his five siblings and his son Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife Mitzi Robbins, seven of their combined eight children, twenty-seven grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grandchildren. A private memorial was held on May 14th, 2022.

Guestbook/Condolences

Elizabeth spoke many times on Facebook about her family and her father. I see much of him in her and it warmed my heart to learn more about him through your words celebrating his life. I lost my Dad 10 years ago and he, like your father... was part of a great generation of moms and dads in America raising the Baby Boomer generation. We will be keeping you close at heart and in prayer as you navigate through this time. His legacy is one that will live on through each grandchild and great grandchild. Love to you all from Texas.
