Brent LaMar Little passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by his 3 girls (loving wife and 2 daughters).

Brent was born on August 4, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hamilton Lamar Little and Edith Elizabeth Preston. From a young age, Brent had a deep love of music, a love he shared with his younger brother Doug and his family over his lifetime. Brent was also a trained carpenter and had a knack for building or fixing anything.

Brent received his medic and X-ray training in the US Army. After his honorable release from the Army, he returned to SLC and began working at Primary Children’s Hospital as an X-ray technician. Here he met his beautiful bride, Jacquelyn Brewer of Torrington, Wyoming. Jackie had just completed X-ray training in SLC, and Brent saw her arrive for her first day of work at Primary Children’s X-ray department. Brent said he began courting Jackie almost from the moment of her arrival. The two were married on October 30, 1965.

Brent and Jackie moved to St. George, Utah, where they would live for over 52 years. Their home was one of the first homes in the Bloomington area. That home became the heart of the Little family, a beautiful oasis in the southern Utah desert. It remains a treasure of tender memories, full of music and precious times in the back yard.

Brent is survived by his beautiful bride, Jackie; his daughters, Natalie L. Little Tedrow (John) and Nicole L. Little Essex (Patrick); and his grandchildren: Connor Essex, Jessica Cooper (Dallin), Jack Tedrow (Aspen), Sydney Tedrow, and Lindsey Tedrow; and one great-granddaughter Abigail Jessica Cooper. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply.

A private service will be held for the immediate family.

Dear Jackie and family, I am so sorry to hear about Brent’s passing, both Rich and I really loved both of you. Rich really enjoyed the visits.he had whether in the street, in your home or our home. We especially appreciated when Brent would come and visit with Rich when Rich was so ill, it reallly cheered both of us up. My love and prayers are with all of you at this tender, emotional time. The sorrow we feel is equal to the love we have for him. Missing him until we meet again.
