Celebration of Life

Monday Nov 4, 2024 12:00 PM

Our beloved husband, father and friend, Bruce Rowse Tanner died on Sunday, September 29, 2024. He left a canyon sized hole that we’ll never see the edges of. We will miss him dearly, as we know many of you will.

The outpouring of love, kindness and support from family and friends has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly moved by the words and many acts of thoughtfulness and compassion. Our love and gratitude to his health care team and family members that gently cared for him during the last few months of his life.

We will gather to celebrate him at Noon on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Riverton 2nd Ward Chapel, 1208 West 12400 South in Riverton, Utah. A time for friends and family to gather will be prior to services beginning at 11AM.

With the deepest love from our heavy hearts,

The Tanner family

Stephanie and Tanner Family
It was our extreme blessing and honor to have been blessed with our association with Bruce and Stephanie.
The years we were neighbors were such a blessing to us and especially to Austin. The kindness and love that Bruce always showed Austin was amazing and Austin regarded Bruce as a very close friend and often would remark, “ That Bruce Tanner is such a special person and friend, I love him so.”
Our prayers are with you all, God Bless you.

I spent many years playing music with Bruce and that time was precious to me. Bruce had a way of making everyone around him comfortable. His musical talent was exceptional and I will always cherish those moments together. My heart goes out to Stephanie and the family. A great man will be missed.

Dear Stephanie,
This morning I decided to check about Bruce's funeral. I knew it was going to be in November. I just found out it was yesterday. I would have been there had I known. Clynn and I both loved the two of you. Bruce had such a great personality. While we were on our mission, my son Rob and his family lived in our home. Rob said that Bruce was the finest gospel doctrine teacher he had ever experienced. I felt the same way. He had a good mix of spirituality and humor. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in the years to come.
Love, Marilyn Mann
