Bryan Andrew Christensen (92) passed away at his home in Toquerville, Utah, April 28, 2024, after a long battle with his health. Bryan was born January 11, 1932, in Willowbrook, California. His parents were llo Andrew and Rose Elizabeth Hirschman Christensen. He lived in California, Salt Lake, and Tabiona in his younger years before joining the Air Force where he spent four years in New Hampshire. He spent most of his adult life in Salt Lake until he moved to Toquerville, Utah, six years ago. He was one of seven boys in his family.
His dad taught him to do body work on vehicles and that became his lifelong occupation. He also worked as an insurance adjuster for 12 years before he built Chris' Body and Paint in Midvale, Utah, which he ran for 21 years with his son Jeff and daughter Valerie. He was a hard worker and always had a determination to succeed.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and traveling in his motorhome. His greatest love the last 12 years was going 4 wheeling in his RZR.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Survivors are his wife Thora and his three children: Valerie (Val) Preslar, Tamie (Jon) Mondragon, and Jeff (Christine) Christensen, his brother Sam (Pat) Christensen, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held May 4, 2024, at 2 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 E 10600 S in Sandy. Viewing will be held at
12:00 pm prior to the services.
