Chin Hung Pang

1934 - 2025

Salt Lake City, UT-Our beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by loving family members.

Chin Hung was born in 1934 to parents Hui Shen Pang and Xing Yan Li in Canton, China. He went to Hong Kong in the 50s with his uncle for better opportunities. In 1963, he worked as an onboard accountant for a shipping company for two years. Later he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1966 as a department accountant, then an administrator for the student housing department. He proudly retired after 32 years of service.

During his time as an accountant for the shipping company, he served on a merchant ship and travelled to many places like Italy, Spain, Egypt, and Southeast Asia.

He met his life partner Wai Yee Mak, and they married in 1975. Their marriage brought them two sons, Howard and David. Dad knew that he needed to provide for the family, and he did an excellent job caring for them.

After their retirement, Chin Hung and Wai Yee travelled once a year from Hong Kong to Salt Lake City to see their favorite sons and take fun trips around the Salt Lake Valley. They also enjoyed traveling to places like Yellowstone National Park, Disneyland, Las Vegas, and Grand Canyon National Park. He loved the retired life in Utah, and called it home.

Chin Hung was soft spoken, gentle, and detail-oriented. He took a very hands-on approach to life, was very organized.

He loved classical music and photography, and his favorite musician was Pavarotti.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.

父親彭展鴻先生痛於公曆11月24日2025在家人陪同下在鹽湖城家裏安詳地與世長辭, 享壽 92歲。

他在50年代從廣東番禺鐘村來港。 1963年期間在船公司做會計師。由於他的工作關係, 他可以遊歷世界各地如西班牙, 意大利, 埃及, 東南亞。

1966年在中文大學, 任職達32年。 在任職中文大學期間, 他認識了他的妻子麥慧儀。在他們結婚期間

, 有兩個兒子Howard and David。

退休後, 他們有一起到外出旅。他們每一年都由香港鹽湖城來回去探望他們的兒子, 還有他們到猶他州各地方遊玩。 其中有去黃石公園, 大峽谷, 拉斯維加斯。 爸爸很喜歡在猶他州的生活, 已將猶他州視為家。

爸爸的性格很謹慎有條理, 不假手於人, 凡事親力親為, 他所做的一切都是為家人著想。他經常鼓勵我們要做殷實的人。

先父喜歡古典音樂及攝影, 最喜歡是著名男高音 Pavarotti。

願父親天上有靈, 保佑我們各人 身體健康, 心想事成, 萬事如意。
