Connie Leanna Armitage passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on June 17, 2022 at the age of 90.
Connie was born in San Gabriel, CA to Dewey and Anna Nelson. She was passionate about Archery. She was Western State Women's Champion. Among her passions was dogs. She raised, bred, and showed her beloved St. Bernards and Bichon Frises with her daughter Jackie, and friends.
She loved supporting her three grandchildren in Martial Arts, Equestrian jumping among other hobbies.
She could pack and throw a cooler in the back of the car and travel at a minute's notice. Many wonderful memories were made with various family members at one of her favorite places on earth, Disneyland. Connie was adventurous, outgoing and willing to try new things. However, her biggest talent and passion was making friends. She could start talking to a complete stranger and in minutes have a new life long friend.
Connie will be dearly missed but we know her Soul mate of 61 years, Firth Kay Armitage, is glad to have her in his arms again.
Preceded in death by her husband Firth Kay Amritage, her parents Dewey and Anna Nelson, her brother Harold Nelson, along with many friends and other family members.
Survivors are her three children: Jackie Armitage Cleminson, Cody Burton, Brad Armitage (Kris). Grandchildren Alex Armitage (Luanna), Mckenna Cleminson, and A.J Burton. Great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Jordan and Junior Armitage.
In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah.
Memorial Services will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 23rd at the Crescent 10th Ward, 10945 South 1700 East, Sandy, UT.
