A dear and caring person has now entered into the hereafter with the knowledge and belief of her Savior and His teachings. She dedicated herself with this influence to her family, many friends, and associates. She was born June 24, 1931 to John Milton Wallace and Violet Brown Wallace in Granger, Utah. She grew up on a farm, not knowing she was sharing the hardship of the depression years, for she found joy in the freedom of country living. Every day was an adventure in planting, irrigating, and harvesting. She often rode on her father’s lap as he plowed, cut, and stacked the hay in the barnyard.
Connie was lovingly known as the family historian. Her life has been one of research of her family, past and present. With many years of gathering and writing, she authored a wonderful family history published in 2003. Her extended family far and wide have praised the publication.
Connie was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and three children. Her cooking, gardening, and love for her neighbors and friends kept her life on a happy journey.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends to many places around the world. As a lover of history, these memories and experiences were an inspiration to her as she visited many places she had read about.
Her spiritual influence and service to others brought her great joy and happiness throughout her life. She truly enjoyed many experiences in the community and church including being election judge, State Legislative assistant, President and teacher of the Relief Society, and Primary and Young Women’s Presidencies.
She is survived by her loving family, son Craig Dean (wife Anita), son Brad K. Dean (wife Nanette), daughter LeeAnn Bursett (husband Ron), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Jerry Dean, her parents, and her sister Joy Dodge.
She shared a special insight into how we should best live our lives with gratitude for all we have. We want to thank Chancellor Gardens and Danville Support Services for their professionalism and loving care in her last years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 12:30 - 1:45 pm in the same building. Interment will take place following the services at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

We Love you
I’m sad to miss the funeral but my love and thoughts are with you. I loved Jerry and Connie and have many many memories of times together. Sharing the cabin and family times together are precious memories. I’m sure my momma and Connie are having a happy reunion.
Sending love and prayers for peace in your time of loss. Melissa
Connie was my cousin and a very dear person. I only learned tonight almost 2 months after the fact that she had passed. I went to the viewing tonight for another cousin which is where I learned of her death. Connie called me almost 2 years ago and we had a wonderful phone visit. Her voice was like music she had the most calm and lyrical cadence. Connie and Jerry were two of my favorite people and though they were much older than me I always liked being around them both. I am so sorry I was not aware of her passing so I could have attended the funeral. All my cousins were considerably older than me, but they held a special place in my heart. I'm sure aunt Vi was happy to be reunited with her lovely daughter.
