Cory Davies, 54, peacefully passed away July 2, 2021, surrounded by his daughters and his family, due to complications of diabetes.

Cory was born November 30, 1966, in Murray Utah to Dale & Merle Davies. He was the third of six children.

He attended schools in Murray and graduated from Murray High School in 1985. He and his brother moved to Phoenix to go to Universal Technical Institute where they both graduated in 1987 with an Associate's Degree in Auto/Diesel Mechanics.

Cory went to work for Gus Paulos where he worked for a few years. He then transitioned to Driving tow truck for Cottonwood Towing which allowed him the flexibility to work with Bar T Rodeos during the summers. He loved rodeos and he was able to work at rodeos throughout Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. He met many people that have been good friends since.

Cory worked for Crager Wire since 1996 where he ran the shop for many years. During this time, he took over his dad's lawn care business which serviced many clients that turned into great friends.

Most recently, Cory worked for the University of Utah, working as Grounds Maintenance for them.

Cory was a collector of Caterpillar Heavy Equipment Figurines, Elephant figurines and many Mini Bottles. He also loved his cats!

Cory is survived by; his Daughters Kimberley Beales (Tiegan), Joree Davies, Grandchildren; Liam, Lariah, Teagan Rose, Athena, and Reagan. Brothers and Sister, Kelly (Roxanne), Shannon, Brian (Kirsten), Brendon (Kuulei), many cousins, and nieces and nephews that he loved. The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses that have taken care of Cory the past couple of years, especially the staff at St. Marks Hospital, that helped him and his family through his final journey.

I'm so sorry for your loss 💔

    - Brandy Peck

I sincerely enjoyed all my interactions with Cory, he was humorous and always strived to provide the highest level of service in the landscaping work he rendered. He was unapologetically himself and I loved his authenticy. He will be missed, all the best to his family and friends. God bless

Davies Family: I am so saddened at the loss of Cory. I have known and loved all of you at one time or another through these many years. You have such a special family and I have many memories of associations of your special mom and dad as well as memories of each one of you.. I have been able to get to know Cory a little bit better as he was such a great blessing to me in mowing my grass, as well as doing many repairs on my sprinklers. He was always willing to help us. I will surely miss him as I know you all will. I know your family is well founded in the faith of Jesus Christ and will feel His comforting arms around you all in His peace.

We've only known Cory a year, as we just moved into a house a year ago for which he was the landscaper. He could not have been more kind, patient, and generous to us. He knew the history of the house, the systems, the neighborhood, and the people better than anyone. We considered him a friend and eagerly anticipated seeing him and his crew every week. We are terribly sad at his passing but grateful that we did get to know, enjoy, and befriend Cory. He was a blessing in our lives and surely the same to all those he cared for.

So sorry for your loss, especially Joree! My son is buried a Larkin Sunset. Beautiful place! All our best wishes and prayers for the whole family. The Lord loves us all and will bless us to be together again! Stay strong Joree. Love to all, from the Salisbury's.

I’m really sorry to hear of Cory’s passing. I was able to work with him for about a year at the University of Utah and he made an impression that I won’t soon forget. He was always quick with the sarcasm and easy to get along with. I considered him a friend even though I only knew him for a short amount of time. I started my own landscaping business this year and he was definitely a go to if I had any questions. I’ll miss him a lot and I’m sorry for your loss.

Just found out about Cory. It saddened my heart to hear the news. He mowed my 95 year old mother’s lawn and was so caring and friendly to her. When he would mow the Wilson’s lawn I would go over and say hello from time to time.

I am so sorry to hear about Cory. I am also very grateful he chose me to help him with the care of his cats. Cory was always so kind to me. I recently went through some health issues of my own and he took the time to stop and ask me how I was doing, not just a passing question, he really wanted to know. I am so sad I won't see him anymore. I am grateful I was able to know him. With deepest sympathy to his family. Angela
