Cynthia Opal (Adams) Parry, 72, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on November 24, 2025 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Cindy was born on October 1, 1953 to Donald and Barbara Adams of San Lorenzo, California . After high school, Cindy went on to receive a degree in Preschool Education at Chabot College in Hayward, California.
Nurturing children was Cindy’s calling in life and she used this talent to bless the lives of her own children, her daycare children, teaching at church, and her grandchildren. Cindy dedicated her life to her family and her beliefs.
Cindy met Richard Parry in the San Lorenzo, California congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and married August 3, 1974 in the Oakland, California Temple. Cindy and Richard went on to have 8 (7 living) children: Heather (Mark Oakman), Christopher (deceased), Corinne (Matt Pontius), Carmen (Matt Shirk), Kelly (Brian Kocherhans), Brian (Mariah), Tia Alicia, Sarah (Conner Thomas). Cindy and Richard raised their children in California and Sandy, Utah, where they moved in 2003.
Cindy is survived by her husband, seven children, and fourteen grandchildren: Anarosa, Jason, Jacob, Jay, James, Taylor, Alex, Tyler, Ian, David, Audrey, Kaylee, Brylee, and Logan.
Cindy is also survived by her siblings Donald (Pam Adams), Karen Adams, Vance Adams (Sally Adams), Julie Mae (Cheryl Suzuki).
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to the church address below on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 12:00pm (Noon) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1020 E Sunburn Lane 11575 S, Sandy, UT 84094.
