Obituary Photo for George Richard Condie

Dick was born and raised in Cache Valley. After graduating from Utah State, his father encouraged him to move to Salt Lake City to pursue his financial dreams. That started a sixty-year career of being a stock broker. He loved every day at ‘The Market'.

Along the way he met and married his sweetheart, Rita. Together they raised three children: a son Vance and two daughters: Robyn and Lisa. He was a terrific father! He was a coach and Boy Scout leader; he took them all to the mountains and taught them to ski. He never missed an opportunity to watch them perform. They were his greatest love. Later, Jackie joined the family; he loved his daughter-in-law.

True joy came to Dick when he became a grandfather. Justin, Lauren and Rain seemed to make his life complete. Each was loved and spent many hours with him. Don't all grandchildren learn to drive at twelve?!

His love of golf brought him to Willow Creek. He got up at Dawn to join the Patrol every Saturday! Willow Creek became an important part of his and his family's life. He hit his last few balls at the range in June. Thanks to all who showed him great kindness so he could continue to play.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Carol and his brothers Frank and Clark. His ashes will be spread in the favorite places he chose.

Dick loved a party. Please join us at Willow Creek Country Club, Friday November 2nd from 5:30-7:30 for one more in his honor.

We are sad that he is gone. But, he had a great life. This farm boy travelled the world. He went to many Olympics and Super Bowls. He golfed his favorite courses at home and abroad; he had a single digit. And, best of all, he watched his kids and grandkids grow and excel.

His wheat was ready to harvest.
