Deborah Marie Ehlers, age 52, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2025, at her home in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on January 3, 1973, in Anaheim, California, to Rick B. Hogan and Judy G. Gardner (Jones).

Debbie spent her childhood in Price, Utah, where she attended grade school and graduated from Carbon High School in 1991. She furthered her education at Stevens-Henager College, earning an Associates Degree in Accounting in 1992.

After college, Debbie moved to Lemoore, California, where she met her first husband, Roth Shilling. She resided in California for approximately 14 years. Following her divorce, she returned to Taylorsville, Utah, in 2006. There, she met Howard Ehlers, whom she married on May 19, 2012. They made their home in West Jordan, Utah.

Debbie’s career path was diverse, reflecting her varied talents. She worked in accounting, served as an office manager at Wasatch Laser Company, worked as an event planner and was even an artist crafting hand painted metal art she called her Marijane Collection. After the passing of her mother Judy, Debbie lovingly dedicated herself to caring for her sister, Nicole.

While Debbie didn't have children of her own, her beloved pets Dixie Doodle Daisey, Lennon, and Cleopatra were her pride and joy.

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Quinn and Evelyn Gardner; her mother, Judy G. Jones; her uncle, Gary Gardner; her husband, Howard Ehlers; and her nephew, Dillon Johnson.

She is survived by her sisters JoAnn Eich, and Nicole Hogan of Utah, and DeLynn (Nicholas) Jackson of Idaho; her brother, Dereck (Andrea) Wallberg of Utah; her nieces, Ashlie Eich and Angel (William) Hardy; her nephews, TraVeck Johnson, Carlisle Jackson, DJ Wallberg, Darrell Wallberg, and Nathan Wallberg; her great-niece, Evelyn Hardy; her great-nephew, Ezekiel Hardy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
