Obituary Photo for Farrell Kim Grover

Farrell Kim Grover- Salt Lake City age 67, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 1, 1957, in Butte, Montana. Son of Justin Farrell Grover and Kay Madsen Grover, Kim as he was known, grew up in North Ogden, Utah and lived his adult life in and around Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Kim attended Weber High School in Ogden, Utah, later receiving his GED. He also went on to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Multimedia and Computer Graphics design from Utah Career College, an achievement in which he was very proud. He was recognized for perfect attendance and made the honor roll. Kim was blessed with a great artistic ability. At family gatherings with his niece and nephew when they were younger, he would patiently sit and draw them pictures on demand in detail. He took great pleasure in this activity and his talent was impressive. 

Kim held several positions in his lifetime that displayed his compassionate nature, including a laboratory technician at ARUP corporation, a courier and as a caregiver and mentor at a group home for disabled adults. 

Kim greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hiker, cross country skier and loved to go camping. Family was very important to Kim. He was proud to be a Grover. He was grateful for any time that he was able to spend with his family. Kim was a good friend. He was kind and possessed a Christ-like humility. He was loving, affectionate and fun to be around. 

Kim is survived by his brothers, Daniel (Jenni) Grover of Springville, Utah, Mark (Donna) Grover of Woods Cross, Utah Steven (Jennifer) Grover of Saratoga Springs, Utah and a sister, Susan (Andrew) Finlinson of Riverton, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kay Madsen Grover and Justin Farrell Grover.

His family would like to express a special thank you to his good friend Todd Wilks for always being there for him and especially over the last few years as his health declined. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26. 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at 2285 S. 200 W. Bountiful, Utah.
