  • Glen Bryan Farley was born June 18th, 1923 in Salt Lake City and passed away September 20th, 2021. He was born to Elva Jane “Doty” and Bryan Farley. He was the oldest of eight siblings.

    He met and married Alta Ruth Rawlings on October 7th, 1943. They bought their first home in Kearns, Utah where they raised their four children Dale Glen Farley (Sue), Deborah Ann Farley, Glenda Jean Braun (David) and Ruth Kay Herington (David).

    Glen started at an early age working for Kennecott Copper as a Lampboy and ended his career as a Train Engineer. Glen served in the Navy during WWII. He was a Radioman aboard the USS La Porte, a troop transport ship.

    His biggest pleasure was spending time in the Uintah’s fishing. He enjoyed hunting and backpacking with the horses. Many summers and weekends were spent fishing with his family and hiking their legs off to the best fishing lakes.

    Glen was predeceased by his wife of 60 years; both his parents; brother Lyle and sister Helen. He is survived by his four children and their spouses; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Della, Joyce and Sheryl; and his brothers Lyman and Gene.

    A viewing will be held on Friday, September 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Followed by a graveside service beginning at 11:00 AM all at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy.
