Gloria DeLynne Hebdon, daughter of Malcolm William and Gladys Walsh Davies Ellis passed away, September 11, 2024 at St. Joseph Villa, Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Enos Hebdon, her children Patrick Floyd (Mandy), Melanie DeLynne (France II) Davis, Mishalene, and Sophia Jane, and daughter in-law Christine Arthurs.Eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters, Sisters Macksene Brown, Dianna Edmonds, and Gladlyn "Pokie" Berhmann. Preceded in death by her parents, a son Nathan, a granddaughter Sadie, and sisters Maurine, Donna, Myrna, brothers Robert and William.
DeLynne was born and raised at 964 First Avenue in Salt Lake City in the 27th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended Wasatch Elementary, Bryant Jr., and East High class of 1962. She completed one year at LDS Business College. She served a mission in the Eastern Atlantic States 1966-1967 with Presidents Burton and Bowen.
She met her husband at an LDS Institute while they were both attending Weber State College. They met in April 1969 and were married in August. They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary at St. Joseph.
She worked for Eugene Kuenneman, Operations and Maintenance of the LDS Church, IRS in Ogden, Discovery Hall, Nursery at Deseret Gym, LDS cafeteria, and Daycare and Pre-School at West High.
At the time of her death she was a resident of St. Joseph Villa for two years. She loved the staff, residents and activities. We thank them all for the love and kindness they showed DeLynne, especially her roommate, Vilate Stewart.
There will be a viewing held Tuesday September 17, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary located at 260 E South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. The funeral will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the 27th Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake, 185 North P Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the service.
Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Gloria she was such a sweet lady! It was always fun seeing her at Church! She was always a very Happy and cheerful person. I don't think in the shorts time I knew her she ever said an unkind word to anybody! She was always Church with her sweet husband Floyd when she was feeling good! I sure have missed seeing her and Floyd at Church! May she rest in peace now, until the the time she and her sweet husband will be reunited again someday! God bless you Floyd and hope in the coming days and months to follow,you will have thy comforting Spirit To be with you and your sweet family and know she will always be in your heart! Gloria was an amazing mother, daughter, wife, and friend. I was fortunate to meet you a few times and we lost a beautiful soul. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family.
