Dad, I have a heart full of love and gratitude toward you for the countless sacrifices you made for our family, and for me personally. All the dad things in my childhood, the farm years that drained your bank for our hands-on education, the manufacturing and industrial exposure, the lessons in customer service, and most of all, the examples set rearing a huge and complex family. You made me so proud of you through it all. I can never thank you enough. So I’ll just sum it up with I LOVE YOU DAD!

To the Zitting family: Your Husband/Dad, was one of my closest confidants, business friend, and one of the finest guy, just to be around. We met in 1974, so 47 years of friend ship, struggles, trips (pleasure and business) all over the world. Gordon stories, from falling out of the boat (David), to almost being stuck a top of the Matterhorn, will remain with me and my family for ever. He is man never to be forgotten, to say I loved Gordon, and felt one of the Zitting family for so many years is not an understatement. I will miss the phone calls, the caring, and the never ending wisdom and fun we had. He was a blessing to be part of my life. Gratefully, sadly, Tom Schoellkopf

Gordon was very instrumental in how things worked out for me. Ever since the first day I stepped of the plane in1986 to go to work for him at Polyseal I found it too be better, more interesting, and fun. He was a great leader and a profound businessman. Sometimes his decisions left me wondering, but he always came through. We build Polyseal from a small seal company to an innovative company respected in the industry with his leadership. And his vision for what become Copper Rock is just mind boggling. I had my doubts, but he came through. He certainly will be missed, not only by his family but the many, many friends he made along the way. A Great man.

Just want to take a minute and tell you what an amazing man Gordon was. He always treated me with love and respect. His family can be proud to be part of such a great legacy. I think everyone's life is better that met him. He was one of the most non-judgmental people that I've ever known. Dorothy is a true example of unconditional love.
I'm a better person for knowing them.
    Love,
    Heber

We shared the service for Gordon on zoom, so glad we were able to view the proceedings. I think Gordon would have approved everything that was said and sung on his behalf! May He Rest In Peace! Your sister Irene and husband Stephen Brock

My condolences to Gordon's family. His passing is a loss to all of us but must be a tremendous loss to his family and the end of an era for them. He was a great man.

I had the honor and pleasure of working for Gordon for 29 years as he grew his company from a small company in a rented space to a large one with hundreds of employees in several locations. As an employee he provided an opportunity to me and many others to grow and thrive. He was a great leader who always considered the needs of all involved, customers and employees and others; adjusting until "Everybody Wins". He was a great friend and mentor. A life well lived. A man who will be missed.

What lovely memories I have of Gordon and his family.
These memories have been refreshed since I heard of his passing. The Mackert school was privileged to have had the Zitting family attend. I had some good times at your home before we all grew up, got married, and sadly, drifted apart. Mary was a good friend. Aunt Dorothy was a wonderful mentor to me. I had a lot of fun giving the kids piano lessons. Joyce and Barbara, I wish we could have a long visit! What a legacy Gordon has left for the world. I wish I could have attended the services. I will treasure these memories and pray the Lord comforts and strengthens you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family and friends of Uncle Gordon.
although it has been many years since we have seen Uncle Gordon, I have many fond memories of him visiting as we played at Grandma Bonnie's house.
God bless and keep you, until we meet again.

To the whole Zitting family, with a little extra love to Louie, Tommy, Danny & Jeffie, we send you lots of love and sympathy. Your father was a wonderful and generous man and will be missed by all of you and your families, but also by many people he brought in under his wings. What a great family he has raised.

I'm so sorry for Gordon's dear family and friends. What a wonderful man he was - always so kind and interested in others. And so smart and wise with great stories to tell. I only saw him once or twice per year at Janice Zitting/Sandy Miller family gatherings but it was always a pleasure to chat with him and he always had something going on that was so interesting. He was a delight and I'm so sorry for Brooke and Madison too that he is no longer with us.
