Howard Dutch Robinson

1953 ~ 2016

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Howard Dutch Robinson, passed away on April 28, 2016 in West Jordan, Utah. Dutch was born in Burley, Idaho to Ray Lee and Dorothy Port Robinson and grew up in Oakley, Idaho, his heaven on earth.

A man with deep emotions and a tender heart, Dutch\s greatest treasure was his family. He met and fell in love with his sweetheart, Karen DeSanti, and they were sealed in the Oakland, California temple on December 29, 1976. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, his love of the Savior and testimony of the gospel was the cornerstone of his life. Dutch served in the Oakland, California mission and continued to serve faithfully in the church throughout his life. He loved working with the youth in Scouting, Young Men, Young Single Adults, and Primary. Serving with Karen as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple was one of the highlights of his life.

Dutch\s work ethic created a self-made man and was a great example to many. He dedicated his life to hard work, providing for his family and succeeding in business. He owned a janitorial company, Bowtie Inc., in Salt Lake City and spent his \"leisure\" time working on his Idaho farm and raising goats. Dutch\s favorite pastime was basketball. He played on the Oakley High School basketball team and won two consecutive State Championships which, in recent months, designated the team as \"Legends of the Game\". Dutch played college basketball at the College of Southern Idaho and spent many years coaching his children and their friends which was very rewarding and built lasting friendships that blessed his life until the end.

Dutch is survived by his loving wife, Karen; six children, Nate (Kaydee), Katrina (Jeff) Kirk, Danielle (Jon) Gribble, David (Lanora), Chelsea, Kara (Trevor) Larson, twenty grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that meant the world to him. How thankful we are to be an eternal family with the knowledge that we will see our Dad again. Till we meet again . . . we love you Dad.

Many thanks to Huntsman Cancer and Doctor Neeraj Agarwal and his team. Thank you Lyna for being Dutch\s friend. Thank you to Tender Care Hospice and the excellent care you gave Dutch.
