Heather Hansen Carver was born on January 3, 1952 to Quayle and Norma Hansen. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 19, 2025 after a courageous 11 year journey with kidney cancer.
Heather was born and raised in Salina,Utah where she attended North Sevier County High School. She was a cheerleader, sang in the school choir, and took part in many other clubs and activities, embracing every opportunity to be involved. After graduating High School in 1970, she attended Brigham Young University where she met her best friend and eternal companion Gary Ray Carver. They were married on August 3, 1974 at beautiful storied Log Haven located in Millcreek Canyon, Utah. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple. Heather and Gary treasured every heartbeat spent together and every moment shared together was a precious gift. They were blessed with 51 beautiful years walking hand in hand through life, building a marriage full of love, joy and memories. Their love stands as a timeless testament to what it means to love truly and selflessly, a legacy of devotion that will forever guide and inspire their children and grandchildren. They were blessed with two children, Garrett and Sabrina, that they lovingly raised in their home located in Sandy, Utah. They were overjoyed to welcome six wonderful grandchildren into their lives and later moved to Herriman, Utah to be closer to those they cherished most.
For Heather, family was her greatest devotion. She dedicated her life to nurturing, protecting and strengthening those she loved, always placing their needs above her own with unwavering selflessness. Her greatest joy in life was being a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and who her grandchildren affectionately nicknamed “Mimi”. She was a very talented artist and photographer who enjoyed many activities and was an ordinance worker in the Oquirrh Mountain temple. Heather and Gary shared a true passion for traveling the world together, finding joy in discovering new places and deep fascination in the cultures and customs they encountered along the way. Heather's smile was her greatest gift, a radiant light that touched every heart. A smile like sunlight that breaks the gray, it warms the heart and lights the way. With a single glance, shadows flee, planting new hope in every heart and soul, instantly making the world feel brighter.
Heather’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in hearts and the lives of her eternal Husband Gary Ray Carver; son, Garrett and his wife JoRae; daughter, Sabrina and her husband Todd; and 6 incredible grandchildren Emma Rae, Olivia June, Isabella Rose, Hanna Kay, Alexander Quayle and Kate Elizabeth; sister, Raquel Hansen; and beloved dog Kiya, the CEO of treats.
A private service will be held to honor Heather's memory by those who knew and loved her.
