  • Father in Heaven called his two precious daughters home sooner than expected as they were doing what they loved most... Spending time outdoors with their family. McKinzley “Kinzley” Ann Graff (age 7) & Elexia “Ellie” Rose Graff (age 3), of West Jordan Utah were tragically caught in a flash flood while hiking Little WildHorse Canyon in the San Rafael Swell May 11, 2020.
Kinzley was born June 30, 2012 in Murray, Utah. Her younger sister, Ellie was born November 4, 2016, also in Murray. They arrived with intelligent and curious minds and hearts of pure love. They sipped on sleep and played hard, squeezing every bit out of life.
Kinzley and Ellie were happiest when they were outside exploring. They loved camping, hiking, picking up rocks and always had pockets...or buckets of rocks, they were going to bring home. Family bike rides up Provo canyon were the highlight of their week. They adored animals and never missed an opportunity to make friends with any they met, Especially dogs and horses. Accessorizing our fur babies “Kie” & “Kashi” was one of their favorite pastimes. From the moment they were born it was evident that they were on a mission to make life better for those they were with. They loved without restraint and were always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day. Whether it was a hug, a kiss or a sweet note and picture...or a rock... you knew you were important in their lives.
Kinzley always knew her mind and adored her little sister. She never got annoyed at her little tag along, in fact she relished being able to share and play with her every chance she got. She took every opportunity to share her testimony of her Father in Heaven and was an incredible example of kindness and love. She loved mismatched socks, dresses, and skirts, with pants underneath...and took pride in her unique style. Her favorite color teal found its way into everything she created.
Ellie loved climbing into mom and dad's bed with her baby doll, in the middle of the night Snuggling up close...and putting her feet in her dad's face. Mornings were a mad dash out the door to get sister to school and then a “temple drive” before going home. She had to see her 3 temples every day. She loved having fun and sharing her food...wanted or not...with her family. She was fearless and always up for the next adventure which included her wiggle car and chasing her sister no matter the weather, snow and Ice didn’t stop her. She was sugar and spice and everything nice and would frequently stop you in your tracks just to give you a kiss.
Both girls loved “squish-hug- ugga muggas” and that was always their parting routine.
They are survived by mother (Rebecca, 38) and father (Timothy, 39), of West Jordan, an older sister (Kalie, 15), of Salt Lake City, and their two fur babies “Kie” & “Kashi” as well as grandparents Neil and Pamela Harris, Doug and Becky Graff, & Shirley Barber.
Numerous Aunts, uncles and cousins, and a niece have been deeply touched and inspired by these two bright lights.
A public viewing will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 20 at Larkin Mortuary, located at 3688 West 12600 South in Riverton, Utah. Due to current COVID restrictions, a private invite-only ceremony will be held Thursday, May 21 at the interment site at 12pm, with a luncheon to follow
Squish -hug- ugga muggas our darlings until we meet again. We Love you.
