Jeanne Russell Beall passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the age of 78 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long bout with Parkinsonism. Jeanne was born August 8, 1946 to James Francis Russell III and Genevieve “Jean” Marie Russell (Wolf) in Baltimore, Maryland.
She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1967. She went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and to work in the first Shock Trauma unit in the United States. There, she met a young doctor named Peter Wade Beall. On September 21, 1974, they were married in Baltimore, Maryland. They lived in Cleveland, Ohio while Peter completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. They went on to spend two years on Guam while Peter served as a doctor in the U.S. Navy, before later relocating to Laramie, Wyo. While on Guam, they had two sons, Matthew Wade and Russell Wade. Their daughter, Allison Bonnycastle, was born in Laramie.
After leaving Wyoming in 1989, they relocated to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, where they settled for the next 25 years. From 2014 to 2017, they lived near their daughter in Spokane, WA before ultimately moving to Salt Lake City to be near their son and his children.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; her father, James; her mother, Jean (Wolf); her son, Matthew; and her nephew Jimmy Hume. She is survived by her son Rusty (Deborah); her daughter, Allison (Ted) Chauvin; her sister Suzanne (Jim) Grenier; her granddaughter Gabby; her grandson, Zach; her granddaughter, Adelaide Chauvin; and her nephew, David (Alex) Hume.
A viewing is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT. A funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S 1700 E, Sandy, UT. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
