Listen to Obituary
Jeffrey Glen Nazer, 60, passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2025, while on a motorcycle trip — doing something he loved. His passing came just before two of life’s greatest milestones, which he was especially looking forward to: the marriage of his son in September and the birth of his daughter’s first child in November. Though we are deeply saddened that he left us before more memories could be made, we are endlessly grateful for the ones we shared, and we will hold them close in our hearts forever.
Jeff was born on September 18, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was raised by loving and supportive parents, Laverne and Glen Nazer, and grew up with his sister and two brothers in Nampa, Idaho.
He graduated from Vallivue High School in 1982, attended Boise State University (where he was named Boise State Wrestling Champion), and later earned a degree in economics from the University of Utah.
Jeff married Jennifer Hellberg in 1993, and together they had two wonderful children, Mitch and Megan, who were the pride and joy of his life. After their divorce, he later moved to Montana and eventually settled in Boise, Idaho.
Snowboarding, hiking, golfing, and riding his Harley-Davidson were just a few of his many passions.
With dry wit and quiet sarcasm, he had a way of making people laugh — sometimes without even trying. His ability to help others laugh at themselves (and with him) was one of his most memorable qualities. Jeff was a dreamer — full of ideas and always talking about what he would do or where he’d go next. His life was filled with adventure, curiosity, and color. He will be deeply missed by those who loved and adored him.
Jeff is survived by his children, Mitch Nazer (Allie) and Megan Nazer Bagley (Braydon); siblings, Abbi Brown (Troy) and Ryan Nazer; his nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
All who wish to attend are warmly welcome.

I’m so sorry about Jeff. It’s been a rough year for you all. I’m sure there was some happy reunions in heaven for them all. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I knew Jeff for a short time and was with him in NY at the WTC. An event that changed all our lives. He was always a friendly and supportive guy that has always remained in my memories.
Remembering all the fun times that we had in high school. Your loss was so young and such a shock. You will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all your friends and family.
Mitch and Megan,
I knew you and your family when you were toddlers. What a special part of life. I am sorry for this loss at such exciting times of your lives. Knowing he can still be with you doesn’t make up for the hugs and good times you want to share. For now your dad and all the family who have left this life will be with you and watch over you. Am keeping you in my prayers that you may have feelings of comfort and peace at this time.
Jeff was the smartest most handsome wrestler I ever met while at BSU. He was a stand up DUDE in EVERY way. I loved his smile, as it was so genuine and honest as the day was long out there in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho.....I last saw him my Jr year at the college, and he was in love with his motorbike! What a free spirit HE WAS!!!
Awesome Jeff, you are now in Heaven and looking down on your beautiful children. HUGS to all those wonderful family members you had spoken of ...
God bless. love you,
TAM.
Our Hearts and thoughts go out to the Family, as our prayers lift them up so they may be embraced with comfort and peace as their lives adjusts after such a tragic loss!
“God Bless you Jeff’ may you ride eternally on the highways of Heaven!
 Our deepest condolences

I want you to know that I’m sorry for your loss of your brother, dad and Uncle Jeff. I only met him once, but I enjoyed his sweet spirit very much. I knew he had to be special because he was raised by Laverne (who was married to my dad, Ralph). Please know you are all n my thoughts and prayers.
