Jessika “Sika” Knottingham
15 years young, forever radiant
Our beloved daughter and friend, Jessika (Sika) Kayleeya Knottingham passed away, surrounded by love on March 2, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born April 24, 2009 to her loving parents, Amber Howells and Anothony Knottingham
Jessika was lovingly known as “Bingus or Sika” by those closest to her. She lit up this world with a firecracker spirit, a laugh that could break tension in any room, and a heart bigger than most could carry. Jessika left us far too soon — but not without leaving her unique imprint on every soul lucky enough to know her. Jessika taught profound lessons on love, she made everyone feel safe and allowed them to be themselves.
At just 15, Jessika had already mastered the art of resilience. She was strong, not just in the way she faced life’s hardest moments, but in how she always managed to stay fun-loving through it all. Whether she was belting out a tune on stage, binge-watching anime and playing video games with friends or quoting her favorite lines from movies. Jessika lived loudly and joyfully.
She adored her guinea pig, Weetweet, all kinds of art, especially digital art, theatre, and creating stickers for her sticker business. Jessika also loved music, Melanie Martinez concerts, angel numbers (444), cartoon villains and Bingo from Bluey. She found joy in stuffed animals, all animals with horns, sticker mustaches, Halloween, moths, and sushi. Jessika treasured her friends and family deeply and had an unshakable ability to retell stories that could make the full room roar in laughter.
Jessika is survived by her father, Anthony Knottingham, mother, Amber Howells and sisters Shayleigh, Charmaine, Skyler and Breonna. She is also survived by countless family members and friends, as well as an entire community who adored her courage and her humor and her amazing heart.
She was preceded in death by loved ones on the Knottingham and Howells sides.
She may no longer walk beside us, but she will always be the connecting light between us from the profound love she left behind.
She’ll always be part of the story — and what a dazzling chapter she was.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, located at 260 E South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family encourages those who will be attending her service to wear Jessika’s favorite color, baby pink. Please remain with us until 4:44 pm, when a special song Jessika liked will be played.

Guestbook/Condolences
I was only able to know Jessika for a few months, but those few months were almost pure joy. I met her when my boyfriend was also in the hospital. One day while we were on the phone, he had told me he had gotten a letter from someone next door and we read it together. The smile that had come across his face was one of the most genuine I had seen for a long while. It was absolutely wonderful seeing him happy again, so I was determined to meet Jessika. I wanted to thank the person who had brought back his light, even if it was just a little. Getting to meet and know jessika was one of the greatest privileges I've had. She was such a kind soul, the kind that you only find once in a lifetime. I still wear the bracelet she made for me, every single day. She had such a huge impact on my life and I'm forever grateful for being able to know her. We miss you so much Jessika. Fly high ❤️

One of the most beautiful, kind hearted, creative, and COOL people I've ever met. Wherever she is now, they should be honored to have her. Love you goob.
Jessika was a joy and gave so much to the world and the people around her. She was never afraid to be totally herself, and supported others to do the same. Jess helped me figure out who I am, and was a warming face everyday when I waked into the classroom. I will miss her with all of my heart for she gave me a world of love and kindness. You were loved in your presence, and you are loved and missed dearly in your absence. Rest is peace Jess. I loved knowing you.
