Jon Howard Ferre died on November 7, 2025, following complications from a car accident. He was born on March 5, 1958, in Payson, Utah.
He is the son of Clarence and Norma Fullmer Ferre, Brother to Jean, Nolan, Shirl, and Paul.
He was raised and attended school in Orem. He learned construction, operating heavy equipment, and driving trucks while working with his dad.
Jon is the eternal companion to Bernice Williams Ferre. They married on October 21, 1980, and were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.
He is the father to 6 amazing children: Aaron (Kristi), Damon (Sarah), Bethany (Darren), Ashley (Adam), Brian, Nathan (Michelle). He is the proud grandfather of 16 beautiful grandchildren. The youngest is just 3 weeks old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Paul and Nolan, and many other loving family Members.
He was a friend to many and valued those relationships
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 14th, from 6-8 pm, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, UT. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Mount Jordan 2nd Ward, 9331 South 300 East, Sandy, UT 84070. Funeral Services will then follow from 11 am to 12 pm. A luncheon will follow, and a graveside will take place at Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 S 400 E St, Springville, UT 84663, at 2 pm.

I will sincerely miss seeing you and miss visiting 😢 Jon at our Family Reunion and our lunches. I can't believe this has happened. Sending the family and Bernice our Love and Prayers.

Jon was taken way too early due to an unfortunate accident. He will be missed at work, my prayers for him and his family. Jon was an amazing man.

Dear Bernice & Family, What a shock to hear that Jon has passed away. When we heard he was recovering from that terrible accident and had been moved to the Rehab Facility, we all breathe a sigh of relief. Now this! We are heartbroken for you and your Family. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

So sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out to all of your family during this difficult time. He certainly left a legacy behind. Jon was a great guy and will be missed at work.

Big John always brought a smile and a sense of humor every time he walked into Bonneville Machine. I feel lucky to have known him and will miss his warmth, his stories, and his steady kindness. My heart is with your family as you navigate this loss.
