Our sweet and classy Kay T. Roesbery was reunited with the love of her life Bob on July 6, 2025 at home surrounded by her six children. She was a beloved mom, grandma to 23 and great grandma (ggr) to 50. Kay was born on June 3, 1936 in Salt Lake City to Alfred and Mary Jane Turner. She was the youngest of 12 children. She married her sweetheart on April 30, 1954 in the Salt Lake temple. They shared 54 years together before Bob passed away in 2009. Kay was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she enjoyed serving 2 missions with Bob at Temple Square and the Joseph Smith Memorial building. Kay was Christ like in everything she did and gave her love to all those around her. Her family always looked forward to their birthday eve phone call so she could be the first to wish them a happy birthday and to make sure they received their 2 dollar bill in the mail. Kay had the warmest heart, but she was always cold and made sure the rest of us had our stockings on. She loved to travel, Hawaii was her favorite destination, but oh how she looked forward to the family reunions at Bear Lake and all the time we spent playing cards. She was the queen of making caramels and everyone looked forward to receiving their batch. Kay welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and assured you left with a full belly and a drink of Sprite. Sprite was her go to and the cure of all things. We look forward to our next round of Popeye.
She is survived by her children- Ken (Charlene) Roesbery, Connie (Cliff) Shelley, Debi (Scott) Bytheway, Mark (Wendy) Roesbery, Lisa (Duane) Elg, Tammy (Troy) Ostmark, 20 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Bob, 3 grandsons- Tyson Roesbery, Taylor Bytheway, Jordan Ostmark and 3 great grandchildren- Teagan Spicer, Braden Bytheway, and Brexsen Allen.
There will be a graveside service held in her honor on July 11, 2025 at 11:00am at Larkin’s Sunset Garden. A celebration of life will follow at 11:30am-1:30pm hosted at the Larkin Chateau.

The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice for taking care of her this past month.
It’s hard to sum up in a message. How very dear Kay always has been to me. She was my first visiting teaching partner, and then she was the world‘s best visiting teacher. She even took me to the hospital and stayed with me through a surgery procedure watching me throw up and then brought me home took care of me because Roy was out of town. She’s always served with that wonderful smile and her caramels were so very, very, very delightful and she was so willing to share them with our family too. I love that woman so very much love all your family. I know you’ll all miss her a great deal but she raised you well she loved you well and I’m glad she’s with her sweetheart. love you all.
Kay was and is an angel without wings. My favorite memory of Kay was as our Cub Scout leader and the fun things we did as youth in her home. She always had an ample supply of French Toast prepared that only had to be tossed into the toaster for an after school snack. She is a true daughter of God and an example of Charity to all. This earth is better for her having been in it.
I am saddened with the passing of my dear Aunt Kay, as she was the kindness and most loving member of our family. I truly treasured our family connection. I and our family was blessed to have such a loving compassionate Aunt. I extend my deepest sympathy to her children and their families.
Love
Gary
Tyler, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.
Aunt Kay was so kind to our family. She was my grandfather’s youngest sister and she was 4 years younger than my mom. Uncle John always said Kay was the best thing that ever happened to the Turner family and I believe him. Kay had an amazing cheer and joy about her and she radiated love. I have the happiest memories driving from San Diego to Salt Lake City to stay at Aunt Kay’s house. We added four more kids to her six but she always made us feel welcome as did Bob and her kind children. Sending love to her dear family who is going to miss such an angel.
She was a second mother to me growing up. I loved her laugh, her smile and her encouragement. She always made me feel welcome. What a sad loss. My love goes out to her loved ones.

Kay was always the sweetest person and always had time to talk. With her busy life, she still always made me feel special and showed a sincere interest in my life. She taught me to know my strengths and she did serve me Sprite a few times. I’m so glad she can be reunited with Bob but san to see her go.
