  • Kenneth Leon Gerber reunited with the love of his life, and for all eternity, Melanee Gay Warner Gerber January 24th, 2022. Kenny was born to Conread William Gerber and Remore Pedersen May 18th, 1958 in Salt Lake City Utah. He was one of 6 children.

He chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the Hamburg Germany mission. Upon his return, he shortly met and fell in love with Melanee Warner. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple April 24th, 1980. They were blessed with 8 children, who have blessed them with over 20 grandchildren and still counting. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife. During his life he was a much-loved friend, mentor, son, brother, father, and grandfather. He could always make you laugh and cheer you up. He worked as a Master Plumber for Beehive Clothing the majority of his professional years. He loved nothing more than his family and had a special deep love for all his grandchildren as they were the best gifts he received and his pride and joy. He taught his children and grandchildren lessons of kindness and compassion as well as many other things including his cooking tips and tricks. He loved searching for wildlife with his children and loved taking his family on vacations to Yellowstone. He was an avid sports fan, but he especially loved the German Bundesliga, where his favorite team was Bayern Munich.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his children, grandchildren, and siblings. Nothing can fill the hole left in our lives, but we know someday we will be together again. We love you Dad.
Möge die macht mit dir sein, Dad.

To the family of Kenneth Leon Gerber. Please allow me to tell you I morn with you but I also rejoice for Kenny. I have many fond and tender memories of Kenny especially from working with him at Beehive. He always was the best Santa ever because he was so happy. I know what sorrows and longing that death brings but I also know that it is only temporary. The reunion of eternity will make you remember He has graduated to a new phase and still will be there for you when you need him. Honor you father, grandfather and brother by being true to the name Gerber. Love from Aunt Karen

My condolences to all the Gerber family at this time of your separation from your Kenny.
I had the pleasure of working with him for many years at Beehive Clothing, where I got to learn of his goodness and loving nature, and his helpful attitude. I loved the way he talked about his family; and since our retirement, seeing his facebook posts about his family members was always a delight. I wasn't a plumber, but we often got to work together, and I grew to love him very much, and felt we had a lot in common (not just the fact we both had daughters named Charity!) He had a big heart--full of love. I'll miss and remember you always! And thanks for letting me wear your Santa Claus suit that one time: What an honor! May God bless you Gerbers with comfort and a firm knowledge that His promises are sure, His rewards are everlasting, and reuniting with loved ones on the other side of the veil is a certainty.
