  • Kenni passed away on December 28, 2021, in Riverton, UT. She was born February 7, 1965, in Murray, UT. Kenni graduated from Alta High School in 1983. It was easy to know why she was voted “Senior Most Friendly”. After high school, Kenni graduated from cosmetology school and “did hair” for many years. Kenni married Dave Christensen on February 24, 1984 in the Salt Lake Temple and the two of them have been lovebirds and best friends for almost 40 years.

Kenni loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. She sang for 2 years in the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus. Through the years, she sang with many groups and performed many solos. As much as she enjoyed singing, she loved and lived for her family first.

She is survived by her husband, daughter Bryn (Josh) Johnson, sons Tate, Kade and Jace, grandchildren Gage and Lily, mother Fae Hiatt, siblings Kim Day, Kelli (Marti) Illi, Kacee (Scot) Meyers, KD (Roger) Taylor and Shon (Jenn Kibby) Hiatt. She loves her entire family including her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

Kenni was welcome to the other side by all of her grandparents, especially her “Nana” and “Papa” Thelma and Glen Nelson, sister Kerri who had only one day on this earth – happy reunion older little sister, aunt Jean and uncle Palmer, uncle Reid Brown and his son Jason, mother-in-law Eveline Christensen, sister-in-law Linda Christensen/Mikle and the angel with the biggest wingspan, her nephew Dave Bona.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held from 12:00 noon – 1:30 pm prior to the services. We have lived next door to Fae for many decades and although we don't know everyone's name we have always enjoyed and admired the family. You are in our thoughts and we are here to help if there is anything you need. Wishing you comfort from your strong family. The Fishers (Thomas and Susan).

    Dear Dave and Kids,
Steve and I send our love to you over the passing of Kenni. What a special lady and friend she is. We sure made some wonderful friendships in Rose Canyon. Over Christmas when I would hear Silent NIght, I would think of Kenni and Pam singing and Nate accompanying them on the guitar. Good memory. Take care. Love, Steve and Sydney Furr

I loved the times we sang together. Once you drove to Summit Park so we could sing a duet together. I loved singing in the South Jordan Christmas concerts. There was such a calm, peaceful feeling to your voice. When you and Dave sang together, it was magic. Karaoke at family events always left everybody laughing. The day I married my Dave, you and your Dave sang on my deck as I walked down the stairs. I have shared so many special moments with you. My heart and mind are filled with memories. Thanks for making your Dave smile, laugh, and see the world in a different way. You are eternal companions in every sense. I will hold the memories close to my heart and remember the joy you could bring to any room. Rest safe and easy and you watch over all of us, until it's our turn to take that step into Forever. Love, Pam
