Kris Jane Osborne (Leah Jane Samuels)

2003 ~ 2022

Kris Jane Osborne (Leah Jane Samuels) passed away on May 1, 2022 at age 19, from complications with Type 1 Diabetes.

Kris was born in Sandy, Utah on March 26, 2003. She graduated early from Valley High School in 2021. Her flair for the creative led her to Taylor Andrews Academy following graduation, where everything (and everyone) was a canvas. No day went by without someone being wowed by her artistic abilities or amazing singing voice.

Kris was kind and compassionate, prepared to be a shoulder to cry on for anyone that needed it; she always wanted to do as much as she could for people. She touched many lives with her willingness to give of herself. She was a bright light, and words cannot express how much she was loved and how much she will be missed.

Kris is survived by parents Phil Jensen, Chantay Osborne, and Sonia Samuels, and sisters Emma Bell and River Mohammed.

A memorial service for Kris is scheduled for May 12, 2022 at 2pm at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the JDRF Type 1 Diabetes research foundation, in Kris's honor.

Kris and I attended the same launch class at Taylor Andrews Academy. Kris was a kind person with a big heart. I remember her sketches, her passion and artistry with her nails. Mostly I'll remember her bright smile and charming laughter.
My sincerest condolences to those left to cherish her memory.
