Polley Myrna Willson Hunt

1936 ~ 2019

Polley left her Earthly family and home to join with her parents, brothers, and friends in their Heavenly home on Monday, May 6, 2019.

Polley is the oldest daughter and third child of Myron and Ada Marie Winder Willson. She was born July 19, 1936 in Elmo, Emery County, Utah.

Polley loved to crochet and crocheted many works of art such as: alter cloths and "The Good Shepherd" and "The Last Supper." She designed many of her own patterns. She loved the out of doors; enjoyed trips to the mountains for the scenery and wildlife. Polley was a people person and knew how to make people feel special. She was loved by all who knew her.

Polley married Elvin E Hunt August 23, 1952. They were later divorced. Polley moved to Englewood, Colorado, in the early sixties and has resided there until April of this year.

She worked as a waitress for many years and as a salesperson at Joslins Department Store, where she was awarded many Top Sales awards. The store later merged with Dillards where she worked until she retired.

Polley is survived by her sons: Allen Junior Hunt (Nancy) of Jerome, ID; Paul Lynn Hunt of Provo, UT; and Bruce Kay Hunt of Twin Falls, ID. Three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Polley is preceded in death by two brothers and their wives: Lewie Zera Willson and wife, Bonnie; Pattie Bertrin and wife, Kay; sister-in-law, Louise Willson, wife of Leland; and brother-in-law, Alan Smith, husband of Aurelia.

A special thanks to her son, Paul, who gave up his employment and life as he knew it to become her 24/7 caregiver for the last four-plus years. Being constantly by her side, seeing her through the many challenges that arose while watching a parent go from self-sustaining to total dependency onto someone else. Bless you, Paul! Thanks also to the hospice caregivers in Englewood, Colorado and Provo, Utah.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmo City Cemetery (180 South 500 East, Elmo, Utah). Family and friends are invited to a visitation held prior to graveside services at the Elmo Ward Chapel (170 East Main Street, Elmo, Utah) from 12:30-1:45 p.m.
