Lana Hill Walker passed away peacefully in her home in West Jordan, Utah, on October 21, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on January 12, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, along with her twin sister, Leilan.
Lana left a lasting impression on everyone she met because of her loud, fun, bubbly personality. Those fortunate enough to know her can still hear her joyful “yoo-hoo!” in their minds. Lana graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and dedicated her career to teaching high school, focusing on supporting students in the resource department at Murray High School.
During her time on earth, she enjoyed spending time with her sweetheart, M. Dahl Walker—dancing, participating in church activities with the youth, camping, and taking anyone who was hungry to lunch.
Lana loved singing and dancing, but most of all, she loved her family. She had a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and at ease in her home, where laughter came easily. Lana was deeply loved by her family and friends. She left this world on her own terms and is surely dancing in heaven with Dahl and causing just a bit of mischief with her twin sister, Leilan. She will be dearly missed.
Lana was blessed with five sons:
Brent and Ivy Parry of Nashville, Tennessee;
Kent and Rene Parry of Sacramento, California;
Jeffrey and Pisal Parry of Long Beach, California;
Tony and Tammy Parry of South Jordan, Utah;
Duane and Lora Walker of Saratoga Springs, Utah.
She was the proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her sweetheart M. Dahl Walker, her parents, a granddaughter Laiann Parry, and her siblings: Don, Dean, and Leilan.
SERVICES:
We invite all family and friends to come and celebrate the life of Lana.
Viewing: Thursday, November 6, from 6:00–8:00 PM
Viewing & Funeral: Friday, November 7, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Both will be held at 8825 S 1095 W, West Jordan, UT 84088.
Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens

Dear family of our wonderful Lana Walker: She was a joy to our family. Our daughters Chelsea, Mackenzie, and Whitney loved her in Primary, Young Women, and girls camp. She was the funniest lady on the planet and always had plenty of treats and funny things to laugh at. She always dressed in bright colored beautiful clothes, scarves, coats, shoes, and hats. She sang beautifully in the choir every week she could. We loved her English Toffee that she loved to make at Christmas time. She had lots of love and compassion for everyone!. Lana is my very dear friend! I wish to express my sympathy and am happy she is with Dahl again. Lana and I had such fun! I will miss her zest for life.
