Lowell Taylor Lees was born October 17, 1933 in Madison Wisconsin to parents Georgiana Taylor and Charles Lowell Lees. He passed away peacefully at his home in Kirkland Washington on November 1, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Taylor graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in theatre and Fine Arts. He loved theatre and traveled multiple times to NYC to see Broadway shows. He was a strong supporter of theatre in Seattle as well the Oregon Shakespearian Festival. Taylor also was a great fan of the Seattle Mariners, the Seahawks and the UW Huskies.
Taylor married Janet Romney in Salt Lake City on September 3, 1954 and they celebrated 71 wonderful years together. They had 3 children, Barbara Lees, David Lees (deceased) and Carolyn Lees Howland. They moved to Kirkland Washington and have resided there for the past 56 years.
He worked as a Certified Financial Planner in Seattle. He absolutely loved his work, and he loved his clients and reluctantly retired when he was 80 years of age.
Survivors are wife Janet, daughters Barbara and Carolyn, son-in-law Roy Howland, grandson David Howland, sister Georgiana (Cissie) Burbank, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours at Larkin's on South Temple will be Thursday November 13, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm and again on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 followed by burial in the Salt Lake City cemetery. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Kirkland Washington.
