Listen to Obituary

Marie “Ginger” Francis Marrelli Taylor, 90, joyfully reunited with the Marrelli clan in heaven on March 27, 2025. Born into a lively and loving family, Marie's life was a testament to her devotion to those she cherished.

On May 27, 1955, she married Ronald Taylor, beginning a journey that brought love, laughter, and countless family gatherings filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking. Marie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and beloved Gigi (Great Grandma), who was always full of life and spirit.

Marie felt truly blessed with her family, including her two lovely daughters, Deanna Lyn Taylor and Shanna Marie (Norm) Nava, and her adopted daughter, Lisa Asti Astin. Her greatest joys were the times spent with her grandchildren, Jace (Kaijsa) Nava, Jaymie (Christian) Bentley, and Jakob Harley (Celine) Astin, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Blakely, Adeline, Alyssa, Eden, and Emmy. She often said, "Family is a great gift," and she lived by this truth every day.

Her feisty nature and warm heart made every moment spent with her unforgettable. Marie's love for her family was as nourishing as her home-cooked meals, and her legacy of love and togetherness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Marie wished to leave this world with a short viewing and graveside service. A viewing and celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2025, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. The graveside service will begin at 1:00 pm following the services at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 South 4100 West.

As a family, we would like to share our appreciation to the wonderful staff at Ashford Memory Care and Inspiration Hospice. Their care of our mom went above and beyond. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate in Marie Taylor's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.

What a beautiful picture and a beautiful lady! I know with time and failing health things change but I will always think of her sitting on your porch petting Harley and the joy it brought to both of them! My sincere condolences and love!
