He continued working in the travel industry until he operated his own travel incentive company for most of his career. He was privileged to be able to visit many places around the world.
Mike was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a proselyting missionary in West Germany. He served in many callings in the church throughout his life, including as a senior missionary in Danville, Illinois with his beloved wife in the Peoria Illinois / St. Louis Missouri missions. He also loved serving as a temple ordinance worker at both the Draper Utah Temple and Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple.
Mike enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golf and taking naps, but most of all he loved his sweetheart wife Jan, son Kerry and wife Heather, daughter Tracie, and his grandchildren. He wanted to thank all of his friends for their love, support and mentoring throughout his life.
