Muriel (Miki) Keele, a beacon of unconditional love and matriarch to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, community, and selfless devotion. She was born in Horton, Kansas on December 24, 1925.
Miki was the cherished wife of the late Harvey Keele. They were united in marriage in Puma, Arizona on February 16, 1946. Over the years, their home became the neighborhood heart—a well-known, safe, and welcoming "hangout for all the kids" where every child was treated as her own. She was truly a mother and friend to everyone, extending the most unconditional love and acceptance to countless children and teens throughout the decades.
Professionally, Miki dedicated many years of service as office manager at Psychiatric Associates where her compassionate nature and strong work ethic were deeply valued by colleagues and patients alike.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey; her dear son, Randall; her mother, Lilah Poston; her father, James Poston; sister, Marilynn (Teddy) Jones and brother, James (Jimmy) Poston.
Miki is survived by her loving children, Robyn Garlutzo; Gregory (Barbara) Keele; her adored grandchildren, Andrew Garlutzo, and Kyle, Larry, and Mitchell Keele as well as 10 great-grandchildren; and a vast, loving extended family, including many cherished nieces, nephews and family friends. Miki was an icon of love and beauty. She will forever be remembered for her generous heart, her timeless sense of style, and of course, her iconic French-tip nails.
A special thanks to her hospice team Jan, Kalia, Denise and Ruthie who took such special care of her.
