Listen to Obituary
Nicole Cecilia Anderson, 54, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on April 2, 2026.
She was born on June 12, 1971 in Murray, Utah by her amazing mother Helen and raised by Barrie, whom she considered her father.
She shared a deep love for her family and friends and cherished every single moment she spent with them. Some of the most cherished memories she created were the simple ones—going on camping trips, sitting by the lake getting her sun tan on with her “tatas” out, draggin state street with her friends, and just being present with the people she loved most.
She had a lively spirit and never met a stranger; only someone she hadn’t talked to yet. She loved to share what was on her mind, and chances are, you were going to hear it. She had an incredibly big heart and would give you the shirt off her back if you said you were cold…even if it meant she might be the one shivering.
She was also wonderfully stubborn. Once she made up her mind, there was usually no changing it, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way. She cared deeply, often putting others before herself, and used humor to get through life’s ups and downs. She had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She loved her husband and children deeply and talked about them any chance she could get. She told everyone she knew that she had 4 children, two she gave birth to and two she adopted through her kids’ relationships. She was the thorn in our side, and we were the thorn in hers, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
She passed peacefully in her family home, comforted by her husband as he sang to her.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, McKell (Karissa); and her son, Wylie (Celia).
She was preceded in death by mother Helen, aunt Evelyn, uncle Andy, uncle Rudy, uncle Stevie, uncle Gilbert, and more.
