Patricia “Pat” Evans Link passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 6, 1954, and raised in the Salt Lake City/Holladay, Utah area, Pat lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and meaningful connections. Her kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression that will continue to resonate with all who knew her.
Pat was many things — a devoted daughter to Don and Bev Lefavor; a loving wife to Don Link; a proud mother to Trisha Putnam, Lindsay Evans, and Allie (Lexi) Evans; a caring stepmother to Annie (Jim) Howard; and a cherished “Nana” to Carter Putnam and Sofia Evans, and “Mimi” to Clara, Sam, Margot, and Stella Howard. She was a sister to Connie (Dan) Engh, Char Lefavor, Diane Driggs, Joan (Joe) Shiflett, and Jim (Kylie) Lefavor, affectionately known as “Favorite Aunt Pat” to her nieces and nephews, and a loving friend to all who were fortunate to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Bev Lefavor, and her first husband, George Kent Evans.
A dedicated special education teacher at Oquirrh Hills Elementary, Pat poured her heart into helping her students grow, thrive, and believe in themselves. Beyond the classroom, her passions brought joy and connection to those around her. She was a gifted cook, delighting family and friends with meals made from the heart; a devoted lover of music who cherished concerts and symphony performances; a passionate gardener who nurtured life in every corner of her garden; and a spirited traveler, always seeking new adventures and beauty in the world. Through all of these pursuits, Pat’s love for life and her deep care for others shone brightly.
Pat’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and light. She leaves behind a family and community forever touched by her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Her last breaths were taken as the sun set—a cherished ritual she and her husband Don often shared from the comfort of their home—bringing her life full circle in a moment of peace and beauty. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092, followed by a Celebration of Pat’s Life from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Chateau, 1910 E 10600 South (Just West of Larkin Sunset Gardens).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of sweet Pat, who faced this disease with courage and grace.

Pat was one. If the sweetest women I ever met. It was a privilege to know her.
God Bless!
Pat is my darling, fun buddy who welcomed Steve and me into the neighborhood with a box of her famous homemade caramels and that amazing, joyous smile! We became such good friends and loved talking about what our kids were up to, how to keep our gardens evolving, decorating, paint colors, hair, and cooking. She has gifts in all of those areas. Pat could make Steve laugh and laugh and always called him "my best friend." And, my goodness, how she loved all of her grandbabies 💖 That subject never grew old. I love Pat so much and my life is immensely finer for having her as my happy, sparkling friend ✨
I worked as a school psychologist with Pat at Oquirrh Hills. She was radiant and full of life and loved the kids.
Thanks for letting me know-of course I can come to the viewing but have family coming for dinner that night. It’s never easy to lose your mom but we all know she’s better off and you don’t have to worry about her anymore. Love you sweet girl🥰🙏🏻
Pat's twinkle in her eye, sweetness, warmth, and playfulness, will be missed by all who knew her.
Don and Pat combined to make each other's lives richer and happier. I'm so sorry it couldn't have gone on forever. Such a Dear Lady
I’m so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. My sympathy to your family. Pat was a talented teacher with patience and dedication to her students. She saw the potential in her students and strived to help them succeed. Pat was a good friend. I wish you peace.
