Paul Allen Hillier, a man of unwavering integrity, hard work, and devotion, passed away on January 8, 2025, at 2:00 a.m. at the age of 77. Born on August 19, 1947, in American Fork, Utah, Paul’s life was marked by a deep commitment to family, faith, and community.

Paul was a loving husband to Peg and a devoted father to 4 children: Dawn, Spencer (Katie), Chris Anne (Lincoln), Chad (Kourtnee), and 12 grandchildren: Austin, McKinley, Olivia, Morgan, Madilyn, Cohen, Zion, Hawkin, Wyatt, Halle, Cadence, and Kasen. His greatest joy was his family, and he took pride in seeing his children grow into remarkable individuals. He enjoyed his grandchildren even more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beth Hillier, and his favorite aunt, Shirley Allen.

Professionally, Paul earned admiration for his integrity and work ethic. His work ethic was unmatched. He volunteered in politics, with the school board, and other areas of the community.

A man of deep faith, Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions during his life, serving selflessly and inspiring those around him. He spent many years providing religious services at the Utah State Prison and treated them as God’s children.

Paul was a cowboy at heart. Purchasing his first horse in 1992, he spent the rest of his years riding, caring for his horses, spending weeks at the ranch herding cattle, and becoming a true cowboy. His beloved horses, Spitfire, Diablo, and Black Jack, were the luckiest horses at the stalls. He spent every minute he could taking care of them. He often brought stories from his trips and included them in his gospel teaching classes.

Paul will be remembered for his strength, humor, wisdom, his deep love and respect for his wife, and his love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and achievement that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. Interment to follow services at American Fork City Cemetery.
