Peggy Copinga Hendriks

Peggy Copinga Hendriks, age 87, was looking forward to her 88 birthday on May 25th, celebrating with family and friends, then chose to spend the celebration with her husband and family on her next journey. Peggy left her pain riddled body on the morning of May 11th, 2022, peacefully in her home where she enjoyed being most.

Peggy was born in Groningen, Holland on May 25th, 1934, to Jan Hendrik Copinga & Stoffertje Elizabeth Copinga. She was the oldest of 8 children. She with her family immigrated to America in 1953 leaving her husband behind knowing he would join her as soon as he could.

Peggy met the love of her life Hubert Gerard Hendriks Sr. at the young age of 16. And they married on September 17, 1953.

Peggy enjoyed gardening, keeping her home in order, time with family and her weekly shopping at Costco every Saturday.

She is survived by sons, Hubert (Cindy), John (Sue) and Ronald. Grandchildren, Branden (Angie), Bryan (Becky), Tyler (Melissa), Steven, Christine, and Willem. 12 Great Grandchildren, Gentry, Kai, Tucker, Kaitlynn, Ashley, Landon, Lincoln, Kash, Jaycee, Krew, Anson and Lizzie. Sisters, Marijke (Michael) and Lola (John).

Peggy is preceded in death by Her husband Hubert of 66 years, her parents, Her brothers Menco, Hank, and Hyo, John and sister Hennie.

Funeral service will be at Larkin Sunset mortuary on 13th South. 2350 East in Salt Lake City, Utah on Monday May 23rd. Bishop Bush of the Ridgedale ward will be officiating. Visitation will be held same day at 10 am to 11:45 am. Service will be at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the funeral.
As her family, we would like to thank her friend Milly for always being there for her.
