Rita Eva Platzke

1951 ~ 2021

On May 4th, my wife and best friend Rita crossed the veil to return to those family members and friends who went before. She will be welcomed with much rejoicing.

Rita lived life to the fullest. She fought PAH for the last 14 years with courage and determination. Her body finally gave out. To those that knew her, she'll be remembered as kind, feisty, and funny. If she became your friend you could always count on her. She loved to travel when she could, enjoyed doing puzzles, and talking to friends.

Rita emigrated from Germany with her parents Siegfried and Eva Donner along with her sister Dagmar. Her husband, Fred also emigrated from Germany. They met in the German-speaking Ward and were together since age 16. They married at 18 yrs old. She was loved and will be missed so very much.

She is survived by her husband Fred Platzke, mother Eva Donner, brother Dan Donner, and two loving dogs that miss their momma. Thanks to all of her friends who were here to support her throughout the years and the hard times. We're so grateful.

May the Lord grant her the peace and happiness she so deserves.

A remembrance of her life will be at a later date.

Guestbook/Condolences

So sorry to hear of your lose. I was able to visit with Rita and her mom when they had the 50 year reunion of the German speaking ward. May the Lord comfort you at this time.
