Robert Stephen Galloway II, age 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5th 2026. Born on November 25th, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah he also passed in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lovingly known as "Stevie" to those close to him was the oldest Son of Robert and Phyllis Galloway's six children. Survived by his adoring mother, Phyllis Galloway and siblings Michael Galloway, Aaron Galloway, Elizabeth Galloway, and LeAnn Galloway. He also is survived by 7 nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his father, Robert Stephen Galloway Sr., his big sister, Kristina Prettyman, his grandparents, and many other family members that will delight to see him again.
Stevie lived many years in American Fork, Utah as a resident at the Utah State Developmental Center. He touched countless lives with his unmistakable smile and radiant spirit. He enjoyed an active and joyful life listening to music, going for walks in the garden, feeling the sunshine on his face, and visiting with friends and family.
Though his earthly body carried profound limitations, his spirit never did. He lived his life with unmatched bravery where time and time again he defied the doctor's odds.
A man of few words, the ones he spoke he did so with intention. In his own way, he communicated love, recognition, and connection.
As his body grew weary, we take comfort in knowing Stevie is now free- free from pain, free from limitation, free from the brokenness of this earthly life. We imagine him reunited with his father and big sister, welcomed with open arms.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Until we meet again.
Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City. Saturday, March 21st from 12:00-2:00pm
