  • Our dear, kind husband, dad and papa, Rob Vincent, passed away on June 30, 2021. He was born on May 31,1953 to Ben and Winifred Vincent.

Rob was a real estate appraiser in the Salt Lake area for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his cherished grandchildren. He was kind and selfless, always concerned more for others than himself. Although he was gentle and soft-spoken, the void left in his absence is harsh and loud; he left us too soon and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, children Hillarie Slater (Noel), Preston Taylor (Destiny), Amber Green (Craig), Alyshia Heintz (Jeremy), and 9 grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Lynne Rasmussen, Mary June Woods (Paul) and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Ben and Winifred, and a very dear brother-in-law, Roy Rasmussen.

Services to honor Rob's life will be held on July 6th at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Casual dress would be Rob's preference. Rob has grandchildren who have not yet been able to receive the COVID vaccine and he would appreciate if unvaccinated guests would wear a mask.

    Guestbook/Condolences

    Dear Kathy and Family,

I'm so sorry to hear about Rob. Rob and I officed in the same building for numerous years. I think the world of him. Always so kind and understanding. Always willing to help. He had that great smile and was always light-hearted, with a great sense of humor. Hard to believe he's gone. I will miss him.... After I moved out of the office there were numerous times I needed some help on an appraisal or some advice on a piece of real estate, and I called Rob. He was always very willing to help, and of course had excellent knowledge and wisdom about the situation. Rob was an inspiration.

In the Greek Orthodox religion, we have a saying, "May his memory be eternal." . . .
    May Rob's memory be eternal.

God bless and be with you all!

    Best Wishes,

    John Papanikolas
